Confidentiality
All discussions during the STECIS activities and events (e.g. training seminars) are confidential.

No confidential business information of any sort about any company may be discussed or shared for the purpose of bringing about or attempting to bring about any agreement, written or oral, formal or informal, express or implied, among competitors regarding:

  • prices, premiums, or other terms or conditions of any products to be offered for sale;
  • products to be offered;
  • customers or entities to whom any actual or proposed product may be sold; or
  • areas in which such products may be sold.

All information provided by the participants is treated confidentially by all STECIS representatives (e.g. board members, tutors, and authorised representatives).

Complaints
In case of a complaint about any of the STECIS activities (organization, logistics, tutors, promotional material, website, venue, etc.) the participant can make their complaints known to STECIS in writing by sending an email to info@stecis.org. Complaints are always treated confidentially and STECIS aims to resolve the issue internally with the complainant. A confirmation of receipt will be sent within 5 business days after receiving the complaint. STECIS will respond within 4 weeks to the complaint. Should more time be needed to assess and respond to the complaint, STECIS will inform about the reason and expected time of response within 2 weeks after receiving the complaint. Complaints will be stored for 5 years.

If the complainant and STECIS are not able to solve the issue, any dispute or arbitration of disputes arising out of or in connection with any of the STECIS activities or events will be settled by an independent third party, namely Stolp Personnel Support in Soest, The Netherlands. The settlement will be binding.

All STECIS activities and events are governed by Dutch law.

Force Majeure / Act of God
STECIS is at any time entitled to terminate the activity or event in cases of act of God or upon the existence of another important cause outside the control of STECIS. This includes pandemic outbreaks like Covid 19. In such an event, STECIS will not refund the seminar- or participation fees but will look for possible solutions to arrange for free access to future training courses.

Registration and payment
Participants can register by returning a registration form to info@stecis.org. Participant will then receive an e-mail containing confirmation of registration and an invoice for the Seminar Fee. The Seminar Fee is to by paid by bank transfer to:

Participation is confirmed upon receipt of the Seminar Fee. If payment is not received in time, one week prior to the start of each training seminar, STECIS is entitled to deny the participant access to the training seminar or activity.

Cancellation by participant prior to the event
After participation is confirmed, the participant has a 14-day grace period during which he/she may cancel his/her attendance or participation free of charge. If payment has been made, STECIS will refund within 4 weeks after notice of cancelation. In case of cancellation by the participant prior to the STECIS activity or event, and after the 14-day grace period, STECIS will refund within 4 weeks:

  • 100% of the seminar- or participation fee in case the cancellation is made more than two weeks prior to the seminar date.
  • 50% of the seminar- or participation fee in case the cancellation is made between one and two weeks prior to the seminar date.
  • 0% of the seminar- or participation fee in case the cancellation is made within one week prior to the seminar date.

The entire content of all training material provided by and used during any of the activities or events of STECIS are subject to STECIS’ copyright. All rights reserved.

Any publications of third parties used in, during or referred to in any of the STECIS activities or events are subject to the copyright of the respective third parties.

No part of these materials and publications may be reproduced, stored in a retrieval system, or transmitted in any form or by any means: electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording or otherwise, without permissions of the publisher.

Information provided by and used during any of the activities or events of STECIS has been prepared as a convenience to its users. Reasonable efforts have been used in collecting, preparing and providing quality descriptions, data and other forms of information, but no warranty is made or guaranteed about the accuracy, completeness, or adequacy of these. No rights can be drawn from these and this information may not be shared in any way without prior approval of STECIS.

Under no circumstances shall STECIS, its board, its tutors or an authorised representative be liable for any direct, indirect, special, punitive or consequential damages that arise out of or are in connection with any errors, inaccuracies, omissions or defects of any content of the training material, even if STECIS, its board, its tutors or an authorised representative of any of these has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Applicability
These Terms & Conditions are applicable for the duration of the specific STECIS activity or event.
